Basic Washer and Dryer Installation

1. Customer Qualification Requirements

To qualify for free basic installation, customers must:

Important Notice: If these required accessories are not purchased from Leon’s, the delivery team will complete the delivery only and will not perform the installation.

2. Pre-Delivery Customer Responsibilities

Customers must also ensure the following prior to delivery:

  • Old appliances are disconnected prior to delivery.
  • Washing machine must be drained and empty.
  • Existing hoses are removed prior to delivery.
  • Plumbing connections are in good condition with no leaks or corrosion.
  • The installation area is accessible.

Safety Acknowledgment: Customers are required to sign a liability acknowledgment document stating that dryer vent hoses must be cleaned annually to mitigate the risk of household dryer vent fires.

3. Scope of Installation Service

When all qualification and preparation criteria are verified as met, the basic installation service will strictly include the following tasks:

  • Remove all required shipping bolts and packaging restraints.
  • Position washer and dryer into place.
  • Mechanical leveling of both appliances.
  • Connect new steel braided water hoses .
  • Connect dryer to the new metal dryer vent hose .
  • Plug in appliances and confirm electrical connection.
  • Confirm connections are secure and leak-free.

4. Program Exclusions and Service Limitations

The basic installation program applies strictly to straightforward hookups. Delivery teams will immediately abort installation if safe, standard connections are unavailable. The scope of service explicitly excludes:

  • Gas Appliances: Gas dryers are strictly excluded from this installation program. Delivery teams will not connect gas utility lines.
  • Utility Modifications: Delivery teams will not perform plumbing, electrical, or structural modifications to the home.
  • Unsafe Hookups: Service will not be provided where safe, existing, or structurally sound connections are missing.

In any instance where an installation cannot be completed due to structural, utility, or safety limitations, the delivery team will deliver the appliance as a drop-off only.
